Max-Delbrück Center for molecular medicine (MDC)

 Germany

Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) is a member of the Helmholtz Association of research centers, the largest research organisation in Germany. As an expansion of MDC, the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) joins forces in systems biology and collaborate with the universities in Berlin and other research institutes.

Our major scientific areas are RNA biology, DNA variability, transcriptional and translational regulation and modelling of the relevant biological functions. The establishment of genome-wide high-throughput technologies within BIMSB is important for the present project. Main tasks in the project are: MDC mainly contributes to the generation of high-throughput next generation sequencing data and are responsible for RNA and DNA extraction for normal and exposed samples and sequencing, which includes, (1) Generation of RNA-Seq data from normal and exposed samples (2) Generation of small RNA sequencing data from normal and exposed samples.
